Wind power can supplement solar power. When the sun is not out, the wind is often active ! Including..night-time.

Wind Power is and environmentally friendly way of generating power. Electricity produced by a wind turbine over a year depends critically on the annual mean wind speed at the site - higher wind speeds produce more energy.

Best Sites are located only a hundred metres apart can be significantly different. The ideal site is on a smooth and exposed hill top or rise and clear of any obstructions within a few hundred metres - such as trees or buildings.

Power Output - the output of any given wind turbine is determined almost exclusively by the wind speed. If you double the wind speed you increase the power in the wind by a factor of eight.
To reduce the impact of householders' carbon dioxide emissions on planet earth while maintaining their supply & saving them money.

Wind speed increases with height as you go up, generally, the taller the mast, the better will be the energy output of a turbine. The ‘quality’ of the wind also gets better with height, wind being more turbulent close to the ground.

Turbulence results in decreased performance from a wind turbine and shorter life. Putting a wind turbine on too short a tower is like putting a solar panel in the shade!
